Great opportunity: we are hiring a sausage maker in Lapeer County, Michigan. The job is at a halal meat counter. On a typical shift you will trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; season and marinate meat on request; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts. Requirements: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay.
