Immediate opening: we are hiring a lift maintenance fitter in Schenectady County, New York. Your main tasks: • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments Ideal candidate: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards 2+ years on the tools preferred.
