We are recruiting: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Rowan County, Kentucky. The job is at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. What we are looking for: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate Day-to-day duties: • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date We offer $2,600 per month plus benefits.
