Now hiring: tile setter (Tennessee)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a tile setter in Fentress County, Tennessee. The job is on a residential construction site. On the job you will handle: • Level large-format tiles with a tile levelling system • Check the falls to floor wastes so the water drains away • Make curved cuts and holes with an angle grinder and tile drill bits • Set out the tile layout and snap reference lines with a chalk line • Grout the joints and wipe off the excess with a damp sponge • Mix tile adhesive and cement mortar to the right consistency Ideal candidate: • Skilled with a wet saw, angle grinder and manual cutter • Able to work to deadlines on busy sites • Own a basic set of tiling tools (trowels, spacers, levels) At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $5,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
