Urgent requirement: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Jones County, Georgia. The job is at a busy garment factory. Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Day-to-day duties: • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
