Now hiring: we are hiring a metal caster in Dawson County, Georgia. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. Your main tasks: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
