Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a pharmaceutical piping facility. Day-to-day duties: • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) You should have: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
