Concrete placer — Hot Springs County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete placer in Hot Springs County, Wyoming. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Requirements: • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods Day-to-day duties: • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
