Great opportunity: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Mills County, Iowa. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. You should have: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection The role involves grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
