Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Rusk County, Wisconsin. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. What we are looking for: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight On the job you will handle: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
