Concrete finisher — Newberry County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a concrete finisher in Newberry County, South Carolina. Day to day you will float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
