We are recruiting: we are hiring a press shop operator in Van Buren County, Michigan. You will be based at an auto components factory. Ideal candidate: • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout The role involves: • Set up and change stamping dies and tooling • Clear scrap and offcuts from the die area • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely Full-time with occasional weekends.
