Tailor machinist wanted in Escambia County

Now hiring: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Escambia County, Alabama. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. The role involves: • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line You should have: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
