Brick mason wanted in Chippewa County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick mason in Chippewa County, Minnesota. You will be based on a scaffolded high-rise site. Your main tasks: • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish Requirements: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
