Aluminium TIG welder wanted in Bronx County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Bronx County, New York. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety The role involves sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks.
