Ladle pourer — Keya Paha County

Now hiring: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Keya Paha County, Nebraska. The job is on the moulding line. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling The role involves: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects 1+ years on the tools preferred. $21 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
