Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in Franklin County, New York. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings The role involves: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
