Garment machinist — Acadia Parish

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a garment machinist in Acadia Parish, Louisiana. Ideal candidate: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines On a typical shift you will topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line. 2+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $5,500 per month plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
