Immediate opening: we are hiring an auto body repairer in Washington County, Rhode Island. Day to day you will check alignment with measuring gauges after a structural pull; shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer; feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray; knock out dents and creases using a panel hammer and dolly; replace damaged doors, wings, bonnets and bumpers; buff and polish the finished panel to remove imperfections. Requirements: • 2+ years' experience as a panel beater or in a body shop • Comfortable working with dust, noise and spray fumes • Able to set up and use a frame/jig straightening bench 6+ years on the tools preferred.
