Long-haul driver — Borough of Wigan

Vacancy available: we are hiring a long-haul driver in Borough of Wigan, England. You will be based at a haulage company. Ideal candidate: • Minimum 2 years' long-haul experience • Confident with manual handling and load securing On a typical shift you will check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits; report defects and book the unit in for servicing; carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off; present documents at weighbridges and check posts; keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load; top up AdBlue and refuel at scheduled stops.
