Requirements: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Your main tasks: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool $5,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
