Argon welding operator — City of Waynesboro

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welding operator in City of Waynesboro, Virginia. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety On a typical shift you will weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Contact us to fix an interview.
