Urgent requirement: rebar installer (Alaska)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a rebar installer in City and Borough of Wrangell, Alaska. Day to day you will assemble column and beam cages on the bench; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length. What we are looking for: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
