Now hiring: we are hiring a butcher in Chickasaw County, Iowa. You will be based at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. What we are looking for: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required You will dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders.
