Immediate opening: we are hiring a construction mazdoor in Starke County, Indiana. On a typical shift you will hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors; fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns; carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction; dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites 3+ years on the tools preferred.
