Immediate opening: bar bender and fixer (Michigan)

Join our team: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Delta County, Michigan. You will check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
