Presser • City of Salem, Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a presser in City of Salem, Virginia. You will be based in a busy laundry. Day-to-day duties: • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing Requirements: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
