Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Johnson County, Georgia. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. On the job you will handle: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions Requirements: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
