The role involves: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through You should have: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
