Stainless steel welder — Granville County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Granville County, North Carolina. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. The role involves inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel. You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination 1+ years on the tools preferred.
