Now hiring: we are hiring a panel welder in Putnam County, Indiana. You will work in a heavy engineering unit. Day to day you will lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence. Ideal candidate: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding 3+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours.
