Great opportunity: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Menard County, Illinois. You will work on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. Ideal candidate: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level Day-to-day duties: • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
