Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana. What we are looking for: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings The role involves: • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper Six days a week, one day off.
