Stitching operator • Pulaski County, Illinois

Vacancy available: we are hiring a stitching operator in Pulaski County, Illinois. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet Ideal candidate: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
