Vacancy available: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Stockton-on-Tees, England. The job is on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules The role involves lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length.
