Industrial sewing operator wanted in Oxford County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Oxford County, Maine. You will be based at a busy garment factory. You should have: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Day to day you will operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Rotating shifts. Contact us to fix an interview.
