Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols The role involves: • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec Rotating shifts.
