Fabrication workshop technician wanted in Champaign County

Now hiring: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Champaign County, Ohio. The job is at a busy uPVC fabrication workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square • Drill drainage and pressure-equalisation slots in the outer frame • Fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam • Crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame • Install finished windows and doors, pack and anchor-fix them, then foam and silicone the perimeter • Cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees What we are looking for: • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres • Able to read cutting lists and fabrication drawings Full-time, day shift.
