Join our team: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Piscataquis County, Maine. The job is in a busy laundry. You will meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics. Requirements: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work 6+ years on the tools preferred.
