Garment machinist — Sherman County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a garment machinist in Sherman County, Kansas. The job is at a knitwear stitching unit. Day to day you will sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching. Requirements: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends.
