Great opportunity: semi-automatic welder (Illinois)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Woodford County, Illinois. You will work at a steel fabrication workshop. Your main tasks: • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose You should have: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently We offer $2,800 per month plus benefits.
