Urgent requirement: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Rockland County, New York. You will work on a commercial tower construction site. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire The role involves: • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
