Fire and safety officer • Alleghany County, Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Alleghany County, Virginia. On the job you will handle: • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift What we are looking for: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
