Immediate opening: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Livingston Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a renovation and extension job. Day to day you will raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation. You should have: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
