Argon arc welder wanted in Gallatin County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Gallatin County, Kentucky. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols On the job you will handle: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding Rotating shifts.
