Banksman — North Slope Borough

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a banksman in North Slope Borough, Alaska. On the job you will handle: • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Full-time, day shift.
