Immediate opening: reinforcement steel fixer (Louisiana)

Now hiring: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Iberville Parish, Louisiana. You will work at a rebar fabrication workshop. On a typical shift you will cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
