Urgent requirement: offshore rigger (North Carolina)

We are recruiting: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Madison County, North Carolina. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear On the job you will handle: • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
