Precision welder — Yakutat City and Borough

Vacancy available: we are hiring a precision welder in Yakutat City and Borough, Alaska. You will work in a pharmaceutical piping facility. Day-to-day duties: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
