Vacancy available: we are hiring a precision welder in Montezuma County, Colorado. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Requirements: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Own basic hand tools and PPE Your main tasks: • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
